Indian Head lookout. One of the most picturesque views in the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park. On a sunny day you will find hikers scattered across the lookout enjoying the views they hiked 5 mi to reach.
My favorite time to go, however, is for sunset and stay to watch the stars come out later in the night. The lookout becomes quiet, with only a few people staying, and the stillness of the night comes out. A true experience of the Adirondacks.
